Rumor: Apple Touchscreen Netbook in October
Rumor has it that Apple will introduce a 9.7″ touchscreen Netbook later this year. Manufacturers in Taiwan have privately confirmed that Apple has inked deals for netbook-related components. The most notable of these companies is Wintek, which is a maker of touchscreens.
A consistent problem with netbooks has always been mouse navigation. Since netbooks are so small, the mousing has always been a bit sloppy. A touchscreen would eliminate the need for a mouse interface altogether.
It appears that Apple believes the market dynamics for a touchscreen netbook are finally in sync. The expected price for the Apple Touchscreen Netbook? $800 USD
